YLA Community Service Projects

1. Sherman West Court Community Service YLA Event
YLA cadets and friends will be performing a community service event at Sherman West Court in Elgin Saturday morning, November 14th, from 10:00 to 11:30. Cadets will play board games, WII, bowl, and visit with the residents. If you would like to volunteer, please call Kevin at 847-219-2220 or the YLA office at 847-214-6910. Project leader is Mariet Pitones.
2. Eastgate Manor Community Service YLA Event
YLA cadets and friends will be performing community service at Eastgate Manor assisted living center in Algonquin Sunday afternoon, November 15th, from 2:30 to 4:00. Cadets will participate in arts and crafts, play dominoes, and other board games with the residents. If you would like to volunteer, please call Kevin 847-219-2220 or the YLA office 847-214-6910. Project leader is Monica Delgado.
3. Food Drive for Fishs Food Pantry (Carpentersville)
Michael Rodriguez and Ivette Prado are organizing a pre-Thanksgiving food drive to help stock the shelves of Fishs Food Pantry in Carpentersville. Please bring to the next YLA session (Nov 21st) canned goods and dry foods (cereal, rice, etc.). We may also need extra cars and hands on the afternoon of November 21st to bring the food to Fishs.
